supernatural presence? Before you call the ghostbusters give this easy house cleansing ritual a try.

Saging ( Aka Smudging)

Sage, also known as salvia, has been used for hundreds of years as a cleansing agent. A bundle of sage is inexpensive and easy to find on the World Wide Web. You can also grow your own in a plant pot at Continue reading

Review: Gauss Master EMF

The Gauss Master EMF (electromagnetic field) meter is my personal favorite meter to use during a paranormal investigation. This handy meter utilizes sound rather than lights as used on the K2 and other meters generally used by ghost hunters. While in the dark lights are great to visually see an EMF fields strength: however, audible meters have a great

Gauss Master EMF

advantage in some circumstances. If I am on a paranormal investigation and my hands are full with other equipment this handy EMF detector can easily be turned on and put in my pocket alerting me to any EMF fields I might stumble upon. The draw back on the original model is it has an auto shut down protocol of 10 minutes. The Continue reading

Review: Osun Technologies RF0010 Radiation Finder

The Osun Radiation Finder is a lightweight handy little Radiation/EMF (Electromagnetic Field) detector. While not as well-known as the K2 meter, most commonly used by

paranormal groups, this meter seems to function as efficiently as the more expensive K2. During a recent investigation both the K2 and Osun were used in conjunction with each other and the Osun mimicked every reading we received on the K2, as if they were synced together. The LEDs on the Osun seemed to glow brighter and showed up significantly better on our DVR’s IR cameras. This is a definite plus for the use of this Continue reading

Spirits of the Cryptoporticos in Arles, France

While this was not technically an investigation, I still wanted to share this piece of possible evidence with everyone. These photos were taken by Brenda Agin Lanoue, part of our Irish International Investigation team, during a 2012 visit to the Cryptoporticus in Arles, France. The Cryptoprticus of Arles dates back to the 1st century BC and was originally built as the foundation for the forum. The forum was later replaced with the City Hall and the Chapel of the Jesuit College.

The two frames were taken within seconds of each other and show a ghostly haze in the second photo. It appears as if it is Continue reading

Review: FLIR E40 Thermal Imaging Camera

The FLIR E40 is an excellent Thermal Imagining Camera. The lightweight easy use design makes it an easy piece of equipment to lug around during an investigation. While there is a

small learning curve with the use of the camera it doesn’t take long to master its controls. During a recent paranormal investigation to the Lexington battlefield in Lexington Missouri, this image was caught in the window of the Anderson House. While we were not allowed inside to do an investigation this was captured from outside the home. Continue reading

The truth behind ghost hunting.

ssgpi logo

Every day it seems there are more and more ghost hunting groups being formed. With the popularity of the “reality” shows out there lots of people think it’s an easy and exciting field to get into. Paranormal investigation is actually an easy field to get into, all you need is a camera and a voice recorder and you can do a basic investigation. Most groups do not have the high-tech sophisticated equipment you see on tv or the resources to acquire such toys. There are no rules on how to conduct a ghost hunting group or investigation as everything in the paranormal field is theoretical and there are no qualifications you need to pass to become an investigator. In reality it’s not as easy or as glamorous as you see on tv to actually do an investigation.

Review: QQ-Tech® 5 mW 405 nm Blue Violet 2in1 Laser Pointer with Constellation Cap Mini Stage Light

The QQ-Tech blue violet laser pointer performs much better than anticipated. The laser grid pattern was bright and vibrant making it most suitable for the theoretical task at hand. The specifications for the laser are a slight bit off however; the beam is visible when used as a pointer and if you point it directly at your hand you will feel heat from it. We are looking forward to getting to you this a lot more in the future.

Product Features as per Amazon

1.Expected Life: over 5,000 hours

2.Class 3A: < 5mw

3. Wavelength: 405 nm

4. Power supply: AAA Batteries (not included)

5. Notes: Beam is not visible due to the wavelength, picture just for demonstration

Overall we will rate this 4 out of 5 spirits

The theory behind using a laser grid during a paranormal investigation is that if any mass passes through the field you will be able to see movement of the laser spots. While no evidence exist that ghost or shadows have any form of mass we will be interested in seeing if we catch anything in the future to support this theory. We will keep you updated with future post.
